Gender: Female
Personality:
Bayleef is a very calm Pokemon, despite how feisty she was before she evolved. She has a rather friendly nature, and loves others easily. She honestly gets along with nearly everyone. However, she does have moments where she feels insecure about the fact that there isn't anyone who she is closer to than another. Basically, she can easily form casual friendships, but has difficulties in forming any deeper bonds, and this troubles her immensely. She tries to ignore it most of the time, but it's still always hovering in the back of her mind. She's actually a bit terrified of other Pokemon hating her. Despite how important friendships & bonds in general are to her, she'd definitely rather be alone than have someone hate her. In fact, she doesn't mind being alone one bit, and will often carve out some time for herself to just be by herself.
Her default expression is rather serene, and while she smiles and laughs and cries just like any other Pokemon, she somehow gives off the impression that nothing fazes her. This may be due to the fact that she doesn't get too upset over many things that other Pokemon might be hurt by. Even when her trainer released her, she just accepted it calmly and wandered off-- the rejection/abandonment honestly didn't bother her too much. She does miss her trainer, but in the casual way someone might miss a pet that was given away or died when they were young.
A result from her being the world's friend is that she's a pretty good listener. In fact, she enjoys it when other Pokemon treat her as a confidant, as it makes her feel just a little more closer to them than before. She's also pretty trustworthy-- if you make it clear what you're telling her is a secret, she'll take it to the grave unless you say otherwise. She also tends to play the role of a peacemaker. If someone gets into an argument with another, she won't take sides, and will gladly attempt to resolve the conflict if asked. However, if she cannot figure out a solution, she gets rather stressed and ends up hiding.
The leaves around her neck release a strange scent that smells like a mixture of bay and thyme. If she doesn't control it, the Pokemon around her get the urge to fight. She rarely lets her control over the scent slip, but if she gets too angry or too excited, it could happen. However, there is a good side to this ability-- when weak or sick Pokemon smell it, they get a little more energy. Although her calmness was actually a side-effect of her evolving, her worry over her control slipping actually taught her how to stay calm in other situations, like battles.
She's secretly a hopeless romantic. Also, she doesn't place much importance in names. It was her trainer who named her Leaf, but she would have probably ended up choosing something similar just because it sounds close to 'Bayleef', and it makes things easier that way.

Bayleef couldn't stop looking at her hands.
She flexed each finger, first individually, then two at a time, touching each one to her thumbs. Thumbs. She had thumbs, she had fingers.
It was still early in the morning, long before the other Pokemon would wake up, when the moon still hung low in the sky and the sun had not yet peeked over the horizon. She didn't normally wake up this early-- as pretty as the night was, she was a child of the sun, and usually woke when it did-- but on this particular night, something had forced her awake. She still didn't know what it was, but whatever it was, it had led to her discovering this.
Somehow, during the night, she had become human-like. She would have said human, except she clearly wasn't. Her leaves around her neck were still there, as was the leaf that sprouted from her forehead. She even still had her tail. And, when she tried, she could still easily conjure up a Razor Leaf. No human could do any of those things, she was still definitely a Pokemon, albeit in a humanoid form.
She had hands. Of all the things that had changed between her falling asleep and her waking up, it was this that fascinated her the most. She had never had hands before. She had always been a four-legged creature, depending on the vines whipping out of her neck to hold on to things for her. She had never truly understood, what it was like to move a finger, to curl it, to clench them into fists, to [i[hold

A part of her realized that she should probably be more worried about this, more confused. After all, she had gone to sleep a regular Pokemon and had woken up anything but. She should probably be confused, worried, maybe even scared. She should move, go see what the other Pokemon were doing, see if any of them had changed, or if it was just her.
Instead of doing any of these things, she settled back more snuggly against the tree, content to gaze at the wonder of her hands.[/quote]
OOC Information
Alias: Kits, I suppose would be best.
Did you read the rules? Poor Eevee! And here I was, believing in you, Flareon! And because I'm a stickler for rules, I'll actually quote it as well, instead of just commenting on it: "Flareon is a bully and Eevee is a crybaby."
Contact info: I don't use any IM sites, at least not regularly. Either PM me or ask for my email. I'll give it out freely, it's just that I'd rather know who it is that is emailing me.
