Drifloon !
Call me PUFFY.
Call me PUFFY.
Gender: Male
Personality: A little air-headed and hyperactive, Drifloon is a willful, stubborn, yet kind-hearted pokemon. He's always been nice to his friends, and he is very forgiving. Despite that, he is also very wary and careful about who he trusts. He knows he's not the strongest or smartest pokemon, but he always tries his best to prove everyone wrong. He usually ends up disappointed because someone close to him says that he'll succeed, he truly believes them, and then he's heartbroken when he ends up losing. Because of that, he has a bit of an inferiority complex. He looks down on himself more than anyone else. Most of his friends try to tell him that he is above average, and that he has a lot of potential, but he's too stubborn to believe it.
Likes: He loves damp, humid weather. So, seasons like Spring and Summer are right up his alley. He likes his family and friends, and he certainly likes the one he has a crush on. He'll eat anything happily, and he likes cute things over cool things. He loves to float around in the air, but he also doesn't mind getting in water sometimes. He loves to sleep, and he is rather lazy because of it. He likes teasing and playing pranks on people because of his Ghost type nature.
Dislikes: He dislikes fighting electric, ice, and rock types because he is very weak to them. He dislikes really dry weather, and he doesn't like the cold very much. He's afraid of spiders and squids, and he dislikes getting hurt. He'd rather flee than fight. He very much dislikes being called short... even though he is short at 4'4" feet tall.
Fears: He's very afraid of getting electrocuted, and that is why he avoids fighting electric types at all costs. He's terrified of being abandoned, so he sucks up to his friends and trainers to keep them close. He'd die if he were forced to fight someone he was close to. He's afraid of drowning, so he never goes into water that is too deep for him to stand in. He's scared of catching on fire, so he tries to be extra careful when around Fire types.
Attacks: Payback, Shadow Ball, Explosion, Return, Gyro Ball, Dream Eater
Trainer: No one yet
Level: 44 with his Everstone
Post Sample:Drifloon still remembered the day he found the Everstone.
He had been floating around a heavily wooded area, and he had come across a small cave. He was rather curious when he was younger, and he broke away from his group to go investigate the cave. He used the light from the sun to guide his way, and he saw all kinds of interesting rocks. He wanted to keep one as a souvenir, so he picked up a random rock and hurried back out of the cave to rejoin his group and travel on. He kept holding that rock for a long, long time.
After many months, maybe even a year or so, he noticed that his peers were all starting to evolve into drifblims. He was confused because he had gone past level 28, the designated evolving time. He had remained a drifloon even as he leveled up more and more. He felt a bit scared. He wondered if there was something horribly wrong with him. He worried that he was going to die. He thought of all kind of terrible possibilities, and he decided to ask the eldest Drifblim. The elder was very wise, and she knew exactly what was going on.
"Let me see all that you are holding, child," she said. Drifloon obliged and showed her a small array of rocks that he had found. She picked up a certain rock and smiled at him. "This, my dear, is an Everstone. Whoever is holding it cannot evolve. Some trainers give their pokemon Everstones so they will remain in one body, but they will still have the ability and the strength of the evolutions. There have been level one-hundred squirtles and treeckos and cyndaquils and piplups. They are usually underestimated because of their appearance, but then they are ten times as powerful as their opponent."
Drifloon was stunned that he had found such an intriguing stone. He felt at ease knowing that he wasn't defective, and that he was actually very lucky. Everstones are very rare, and he felt almost blessed that he had found one.
That is, however, until he evolved.
He changed into an odd human-like form one day, and everyone was panicking. All his friends knew he had an Everstone, so they knew he couldn't have-- wouldn't have-- shouldn't have evolved. Yet, he did. The elder Drifblim was also very confused. She had never seen anything like that before, and everyone was very concerned. During the chaos, more and more of the little colony of balloon pokemon were turning into human-like creatures. They could still use all their same attacks, but they noticed that they could speak the Human languages along with the Pokemon languages. It was all very puzzling.
And Drifloon was determined to find out the cause of all of it.OOC Information
